Could the Sony NEX-VG10 Spell the End for HDSLR Video?
The Sony NEX-VG10 is a $2000 large sensor camcorder that supports SLR lenses. So if you’ve been drooling over all the swank video shot on HDSLR’s over at Vimeo but you just can’t see yourself shooting video with a still camera, this might be a solution for you.
Take note, however, that this camcorder leans pretty far towards the consumer end of “prosumer” with it’s lack of XLR inputs and variable frame rates.
Get all the rad details as well as some great commentary at the link above. And let me know if this is a camcorder you would use over a HDSLR offering in the comments.

Twistori even lets you export your searches as screen savers to share with the office or your friends. Go get it!

Get Ready For Animoto Video…(or, how video professionals need to stop shooting and editing and start programming)
Animoto, the rad tool that lets me smash together DVD quality, animated slide shows for the youth group (like a boss!) is bringing video into the mix up. This demo looks promising.
It’s also a little disturbing that many of the video production and photo manipulation techniques that I use to make my bread and butter are becoming automated or so easy that any amature can do. Maybe we should all become programmers so that we can be on the other side of our own demise.
Market7: Project Management and Collaboration for Video Creators
I love this idea and would have used it tons at my previous job. If your church has large video team or if your company creates video content for churches, check this out!
