Over the last year, the importance and use of online video seems to have spiked. News outlets, television networks, social networking sites and, yes, churches have all begun to embrace the use of video as a mainstream vehicle for information and entertainment delivery.
I’ve also noticed a growing interest in web applications that let you share slide presentations online. Now the two have come together in SlideSix’s web application.
I’m not sure how a tool like this could be used regularly by churches. But here are some ideas fresh from the top of my head:
- use media rich presentations to present information to your church body regarding building campaigns, missions reports, teachings, etc.
- use presentations embeded with video to present emerging technolgies to church leaders. For example, why their ministry should use Facebook.
- Presentations can be custom made and available for church staff to get training on tools like Facebook, Twitter, or even more specific tools and processes like church management software and assimilation processes.
Maybe you have a project in the pipes that could use this. If not, you might want to keep SlideSix in your utility belt just in case.
